How To Use Hypnosis To Manifest Your Desired Outcome

(This is NOT what hypnosis is all about…)

When people hear of hypnosis, they usually think of the ‘pendulum’ watch and a hypnotist telling someone to go into a deep sleep.

This is the popular but inaccurate version of hypnosis really is all about because that version is what we have brought up to believe (or observed on TV shows).

When real hypnosis is applied, it is more powerful beyond words as it works with the subconscious mind.

Hypnosis has nothing to do with sleeping, otherwise it is not hypnosis – it is merely taking a nap.

Hypnosis can be done to self and it can be done to others for many practical benefits.

How Hypnosis Works

Hypnosis is known as ‘sleeping neuro-linguistic programming’ or NLP for short.

Vice versa, NLP is also known as ‘waking hypnosis’.

Basically it is about embedding words into the subconscious mind.

Words are very powerful as it can shift states within the mind into new realities.

When you are able to change the state of your mind, you begin to release unhelpful patterns that are stuck in your life.

Beliefs that no longer serve you will lose it’s power when you are able to shift from an undesired state to a more desirable state.

When a person is in hypnosis, their minds are susceptible for programming and inserting new beliefs.

Think of the scene in ‘The Matrix’ where Neo is ‘downloading’ all the kung fu moves into his mind.

Practical Benefits Of Hypnosis

There are many ways hypnosis can be applied in practical ways.

freedomjump1. Hypnosis for addictions

Addictions happen what we are in deep pain. Pain over something we cannot get ourselves out of then we hang on obsessively to our addictions as a form of narcotization.

It is something that builds up over time as we all have our dispositions and are creatures of habit which is deeply rooted in our subconscious mind.

A person can be addicted to anything –  food, alcohol, drugs, smoking or gambling

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy can trace the root of the pain (the cause) and remove the addiction (the effect)

2. Hypnosis for weight loss

Weight gain results from not just eating voraciously but from ’emotional weight’ as well.

People put on a lot of weight often as a means to protect themselves from pain or from attacks from others. As a result, people also tend to eat food as a source of emotional comfort.

Hypnosis can help by tracing the root of emotional pain and the root cause when a person ‘decided’ they needed to protect themselves as well as strengthen the mind to choose healthier food choices.

3. Hypnosis for reducing chronic pain

Chronic pain like Fibromyalgia, Arthritis or Migraines are constant source of agitation.

However, pain is a response of the mind and anything that helps the mind will help alleviate the pain.

Hypnosis doesn’t require drugs (as drugs merely numbs the pain and it will come back). A good hypnotherapy session will reduce the triggers that anchor a person to their pain and help them to relax more so they can be as pain free as possible.

4. Hypnosis for reducing stress

Stress produces a chemical called cortisol and not only does it make people hold on to weight, it can also lead to heart disease, high blood pressure, obesity, diabetes, and sleep disorders.

We do not need to live in a frame of mind that is at war all the time. Simply by eliminating the root cause of stress and learning to relax more, you will be able to reduce the cortisol levels and sleep better as well.

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy can help you to relax and connect with the still, quiet voice within your mind. You will then give your mind and your body a chance to rejuvenate, disconnect from the stressors, heal your body and open your mind to a healthier, more peaceful state of mind.

5. Hypnosis for dealing with childhood issues

Everyone has childhood issues one way or another. Sometimes, these can manifest as limiting beliefs or even trauma. This is also called ‘inner child’ issues.

An inner child is also in our subconscious mind and it never ‘grows up’.

Hypnosis talks to that inner child and assures the inner child that everything is okay. That he/she is safe and protected, loved and nurtured. Then the child will heal and the problems will go away.

6. Hypnosis for sleep disorders

If you see someone having full insomnia to night terrors, wakeful sleep, sleepwalking, and the inability to fall into the REM sleep and staying awake due to anxiety disorders, then it is time to deal with it or it will lead to obesity and other forms of addictions.

Hypnosis at the very least can treat the psychological aspect of it that is causing disturbance. Any form of relaxation can cause someone to go sleep better.

7. Hypnosis for changing behaviors

Behaviors are the results of beliefs and values. We behave with the best knowledge we have with the best choice possible. So by using hypnosis, we can change our beliefs and values.
